The 50 Series is the only twin tube steel body shock on the market that has deflective disc technology.  This shock technology is commonly used in your high end mono tube gas shocks which have a much higher price tag.  Deflective disc technology increases sensitivity in valving response, control and consistency.  It is also rare to see a steel body shock that can be repaired.  You might spend a little more money for the 50 series shock than other steel shocks on the market but this shock will out perform any other steel body shock and it can be repaired and/or re-valved to your specifications.
