This collar weld on to the inboard end of the center tube and can be done
before this step, this will determine |

location of the shock plate. (noted for some cars longer or shorter tubes are
needed) |

Weld along flats on both side if you race at a rough track you may need to
weld better. (note remove nylon |
|
| before
welding.) |

| 8.
Use 2ea 3/8 x 1.0 long bolt to hold shock plate to collar. This bolt will be
removed when you clamp the |
|
| shock plate
up. |

| 9. Add
washer and lock ring leave small gap between center tube and lock ring, this
will allow plate to pull |

| away from 2
hole collar keeping it from rubbing. |

| 10. Run
bolt in from this direction will lock up shock plate as if it was on a clamp
bracket. |
